Darren Kaberna, MBA
Darren was raised on a farm in northern Wisconsin. He started his first business at 14 years of age. While in high school he took his earnings and invested them in the stock market and was able to get through college in 4 years without any debt. He joined the National Ski Patrol at 17 years of age and then attended the University of Wisconsin LaCrosse where he received his undergraduate degree in Biology and Chemistry. During college he was determined to have a great job prior to graduating and accomplished this goal in March of his senior year by getting hired by Patterson Dental. He was sent to Dayton, Ohio to start learning the business of dentistry. While working full time, Darren enrolled in graduate school to get his MBA. During his MBA work, he did consulting for companies as large as GE as well as non-profits such as We Care Arts. He completed his MBA in Finance and Marketing in 2 years. After having been in Ohio for 7 years, he and his wife, Christine, moved to Woodland Park, CO where he had to start his business over again with Patterson Dental. In a relatively short period of time, he was able to build it up so that he was the top sales representative within Colorado for Patterson.
Darren has three young boys born in 2008, 2010, and 2012 which keep him active. As they get older, he is looking forward to many activities with them - skiing/snowboarding, hiking, camping, hunting, and any other activities that they enjoy.
Wanting to make a bigger impact on the lives of others, he decided to start his own business coaching on the best business practices that he has combined with 15 years in the dental industry along with his MBA. Now he is impacting the lives of both doctors and their staff all over the country, not only improving dental practices but helping people achieve their dreams. Barbara Maddy, RDH
Barb brings 32 years of experience in all facets of the dental office. Initially working as an administrator, she developed and implemented a soft tissue management program that a practice management company used in their development and training. A natural progression for Barb, she became a Registered Dental Hygienist and has lovingly focused on raising the health of her patients for years. She continues to have a zeal for finding ways to elevate the wellbeing of those surrounding her. She is beyond excited to be a part of the AMP team because she knows the magnitude and the benefits of continually growing a healthy and productive practice!
Barb has been married to David for 32 years. They have two children, both in college, and are enjoying their “empty nest.” In her spare time, Barb is an avid quilter, using a long arm quilt machine and computers to make one of a kind master pieces.
Carolyn Buckley, RDH
Since the age of 12, Carolyn can recall days spent stuffing envelopes, filing paperwork and answering phones at her family's business, a SEC Registered Investment Advisory Firm. She eventually grew to hold the title as Director of Marketing. She helped in the management of over 100 million dollars and developed the company's mantra: Integrity. Commitment to Service. Standards of Excellence. These core values have defined who Carolyn is and appealed to her desire to pursue her passion in the dental industry.
Carolyn graduated from the University of Louisville Dental School with a Bachelor's degree in Dental Hygiene Sciences. With an ingrained business owner's mentality, Carolyn has combined her business and marketing background with success as a top performing Registered Dental Hygienist both in part of the AMP team, she can truly impact the dental industry by making good dental practices great and enhancing the lives of others. She enjoys being on the water, spending time with her sassy 2 year old niece, Charlee Mae and doting on her little dog Faith!
Debbie Loree
Has an array of experience in the dental field which includes 27 years of dental experience, Dental Office Manager, extensive understanding of how a successful dental office functions from a users perspective, Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Alaska Pacific University. Debbie enjoys making a difference in the dental office by training and educating staff and doctors. Her focus begins with the dentist’s practice goals and includes assisting with patient financing, accounts receivable and collections management and monitoring as well understanding financial trends in the dental office. Debbie describes herself as a homebody, who loves “do it yourself” projects that range in scope from decorating her home to gardening and even building furniture.
Katie Zachardy
Is a Cleveland based dental coach who has specialized in surgical and restorative portfolios of different implant systems, Anatomage CT guided surgery and Cone Beam CT dental imaging. Katie finds herself creating relationships, being challenged with advancements that are continually happening, educating employees and doctors on daily basis and continually challenging herself on different levels. Katie is a self starter and is very motivated to make positive change! She is a solid communicator with a drive most doctors are shocked about!
Patrick O'Donnell
Brings 15 years of experience in the dental industry. Eleven of those years, Patrick directed dental supply and dental service operations up to 35 million dollars and up to 52 team members as a general manager. His branches were chosen as national branch-of-the-year three separate times. Patrick grew up in Sioux Falls, SD, where he earned his bachelor's degree at Augustana University. He lived in Omaha, NE, and Denver, Co, over a span of 14 years prior to moving to Indianapolis, IN, where he currently resides. Patrick enjoys serving others, spending time with family, friends and clients, scuba diving, attending concerts and attending sporting events. As a business development specialist at Accelerate My Practice (AMP), he now works closely with some of the most successful dental practices in the U.S. to help them achieve their vision.
